Port Boat House is an industry leading dealership for Yamaha Outboards, ATVs, SxS’s, Ranger/Cutwater Boats, G3 Boats and North River Boats. We have been in business for over 40 years and are continually growing.

We are looking to add a Marine Detailer to our Port Alberni team. The Detailer is honest and team oriented. While no experience is required preference will be given to individuals who enjoy the marine/motorsports industry. If you have a passion boats, fishing, or recreational vehicles this is the place for you to start your career.

Key responsibilities include washing, buffing and waxing of new and used boat packages

Job Description

• Daily tasks include interior and exterior detailing of new and used boat packages
• Wax and polish of external features on boats
• General shop cleanup
• Shrink wrap of boat packages for winter storage
• General labour for repair shop

Work Schedule and Benefits

• Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Requirements

• Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work in a fast paced environment
• Applicant must be in good physical shape and have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Previous detail experience an asset but not required
• No previous boat experience required however preference will be given to people with basic marine knowledge
• Accountable with strong work ethic and consistent attendance
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
