Volvo Penta Aquamatic Sterndrive V6‐SX is a fully integrated package, powered by the 6‐cylinder, 4.3‐liter, freshwater‐cooled, direct‐injected gasoline engine. Paired with the well-matched SX single‐prop drive, this package provides strong acceleration.

Compact and lightweight design

The compact engine-drive design facilitates installation. With an aluminum cylinder block and head, low-friction, lightweight pistons, and a cast-aluminum oil pan, the engine provides an improved power-to-weight ratio.

Direct injection technology

The direct injection fuel system enables a high compression ratio, extracting more energy from each drop of fuel. This contributes to reduced fuel consumption and emission levels.

Variable valve timing

Freshwater‐cooled engine
