| Volvo Penta IPS IMO III is a well-matched package, powered by the in-line 6-cylinder D13, a 12.8-liter common-rail diesel engine with a twin-entry turbo. Working together with the IPS30 pod, twin counter-rotating propellers, and the Electronic Vessel Control system, this package offers improved maneuverability, extended range, and reduced emissions. It’s designed to handle high back pressure and high-sulfur fuel. The SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) exhaust aftertreatment system is designed for an optimal fit. The SCR unit, which also functions as a silencer, reduces noise by 35-40 dBA. This engine meets IMO III exhaust emission standards, while maintaining consistent fuel consumption. Thanks to the SCR system, the engine power output remains unchanged. |
